On October 4, Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, traveled to Ahmedabad to participate in the Captains’ Day event prior to the ICC World Cup 2023.
He received a warm welcome when he arrived. Babar met India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, at the occasion, and the two exchanged cordial hugs before striking up a conversation.
Babar participated in a warm-up game against Australia in Hyderabad before to traveling to Ahmedabad, where he hit 90 runs off of 59 balls. He performed admirably in the first exhibition game against New Zealand as well, scoring 80 runs.
In Hyderabad, the Pakistani squad was welcomed with open arms, as seen on their Instagram stories.
