Virat Kohli Becomes Fastest Batter to Reach 13,000 Runs in ODIs

India’s Virat Kohli and KL Rahul displayed their batting prowess in the Asia Cup Super Four match that was played in Colombo despite the rain. Rahul managed an incredible 111 runs unbeaten from 106 deliveries, while Kohli struck an outstanding 122 runs from 94 balls. The dominance of India in the game was cemented by their centuries.


On the third day of the match, India managed to score a solid total of 356 for two in 50 overs after beginning their batting at 147 for two in 24.1 overs. With his incredible century, Kohli reached his 47th ODI milestone. He became the ODI player to amass 13,000 runs in the quickest time during his innings.

In addition to this achievement, Kohli’s performance in Colombo earned him another record by scoring his fourth consecutive ODI century in the same venue, matching the previous record held by South African cricket legend Hashim Amla for the most consecutive hundreds in one location.
