The Pakistan cricket team has not received a visa from India for the upcoming ICC World Cup in 2023. Pakistan had to postpone their “team-bonding trip” to Dubai as a result. On September 29, they were slated to travel to India for a warm-up game before going to Dubai.
They now want to travel to Dubai before continuing on to Hyderabad (India) the following Wednesday. Of the nine teams, Pakistan is the only one whose players still lack visas.
The World Cup begins on October 5, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) of the delay. Even though the PCB has been in communication with the Indian Consulate for a week, no visas had been provided by Friday, the penultimate day of the workweek.
Due to diplomatic issues, travel between these two nations has been challenging, and since 2012–2013, they haven’t played cricket series in each other’s nations.
