The Sharjah Municipality has announced free public parking in honor of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday, which is on September 28. Residents can park for free on Thursdays and Fridays thanks to this special offer.
Employees in the public sector will enjoy this occasion even more because they will get a day off, giving them a longer four-day weekend. Beginning on September 28th, they will take a day off from work before returning to it on October 2nd.
The free parking privilege only applies on Thursday and Friday, it is crucial to remember that. On Saturday and Sunday, regular parking fees will apply, with the exception of 7-day paid parking zones.
Also, Sharjah is not the only place that celebrates this festival. The day off for both federal government employees and private sector workers in the UAE on September 29 will make it a long weekend for many.
The UAE’s following extended weekend will fall on December 2 and 3, which are National Day holidays. It’s a wonderful chance for everyone to take a well-earned rest and honor the progress and unity of the country.
