Hackers have stolen and are selling the personal data of 2.2 million Pakistani residents online. These hackers assert that they gained access to more than 250 restaurants’ databases, exposing customers’ contact and credit card information.
Many eateries in Pakistan regularly utilize the compromised software. Details on transactions, such as how frequently someone made payments and the amounts involved, are included in the stolen data.
For this information, the hackers are demanding for 2 Bitcoins, or about $54,000. Authorities in Pakistan have not yet heard of any reports of this incident.
