UAE forecasts the dates of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr six months beforehand.

The UAE’s astronomical officials have forecast the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr dates for 2024.

The new moon of Rabi Al-Awwal will probably be seen on September 16 this year, according to astronomical calculations, says Ibrahim Al-Jaroon, chairman of the UAE Astronomy Society Board.

The month of Ramadan is anticipated to begin in the second week of March in 2024 based on projections made based on these astronomical locations. The precise start date won’t be known, though, until after the new moon has been sighted.

The date for Eid al-Fitr will also be revealed following the Shawwal moon sighting, which signals the end of Ramadan.

The ability to forecast the future allows corporations, educational institutions, and government agencies to plan events, vacations, and work schedules well in advance.

Although astronomical calculations are a useful reference, the UAE validates the dates of Ramadan and Eid yearly with the help of a commission that looks at moon sightings. The official confirmation of the lucky dates for 2024 is anxiously awaited.
