Quick thinking of an Emirati woman prevents a $250,000 robbery attempt in Dubai

Nouf Al Mazrouei, an Emirati woman, was recently recognized by Dubai Police for her quick thinking and brave involvement in preventing an attempted robbery and kidnapping. Two men attempted to kidnap a man in Al Muraqqabat and steal Dh250,000 from him during the event.

Fortunately, Nouf Al Mazrouei was on her lunch break and waiting in her car for a food delivery when she saw the incident take place. She saw the two men making an attempt to drag the victim into a white car. She fearlessly stepped in and demanded that they cease the assault after realizing the seriousness of the circumstance.

Nouf Al Mazrouei was aware of the men’s criminal behavior notwithstanding their assertions that the victim was their coworker.

She jotted down the plate number of the car and immediately called Dubai Police.

After receiving her call, Dubai Police responded quickly, and a patrol showed up within minutes to interview her. When they later found the car on Sheikh Zayed Road, they discovered that it had not been a simple altercation but rather a major criminal offense.

Director of the Bur Dubai Police station Maj Gen Abdullah Al Maasam praised Nouf Al Mazrouei for his quick thinking and deft measures that prevented the attempted robbery and kidnapping. Police were able to find the culprits and save the victim because of the victim’s vigilance and sense of security. This tragedy serves as a reminder of how crucial citizen cooperation and watchfulness are to preserving public safety.
