In Pakistan’s World Cup roster, only two players had prior India experience.

Pakistan will take part in the forthcoming ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, which will start on October 5 in India. This will be an important cricket match between the two nearby nations. The fact that Pakistan and India have not played a bilateral cricket series in some time makes this World Cup match extremely significant.

This will be the majority of the Pakistani team’s players’ first time playing cricket in India. During the 2012–13 season, Pakistan and India last engaged in a bilateral series in any format. ODI and T20I series, as well as a Test match, were all part of Pakistan’s previous visit of India.

Only Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Ali Agha have visited India before in the current Pakistani World Cup roster. While in India for the 2016 ICC World Twenty20, Mohammad Nawaz did not participate in any of the matches. Contrarily, Salman Ali Agha represented the Lahore Lions in a Champions League encounter in India, playing in one game against the Dolphins and scored one run off three balls.

The majority of the Pakistani team, it’s vital to note, will be playing in India for the first time. Despite the huge cricket tournament being just a few days away, the Indian government has not yet issued visas for the Pakistan squad due to previous tensions in diplomatic relations between the two nations. This raises the level of interest and apprehension surrounding the highly anticipated cricket match between Pakistan and India at the ICC Men’s World Cup in 2023.
