For women attending the Umrah pilgrimage, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has established a dress code and laid out three rules in relation to this issue.

Ladies should choose clothing that does not feature any ornamental aspects for Umrah, per the three recommendations provided by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah regarding appropriate attire for women to wear during Umrah.

The Ministry of Hajj advises women to dress loosely during Umrah so that their complete bodies are covered and no part of their anatomy is visible.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information, women undertaking Umrah are allowed to enter Masjid al-Haram clothed in any garment as long as it meets with the aforementioned three standards.

It is vital to keep in mind that male pilgrims are obliged to wear Ihram, which consists of two sheets without any stitching, in order to do Umrah. The distinction between the two is that embroidered clothing for women is regarded as ihram.
