Job Possibility! Dubai’s Ruler Appoints a Youth Minister to the Cabinet

The Vice-President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, recently made an important statement on the composition of his cabinet. In order to address the issues and aspirations of the nation’s young people, he stated his desire to appoint a Minister of Youth.

Sheikh Mohammed stressed his intention to designate a notable young person who can successfully represent the younger demographic and actively participate in the topics that are most important to them. He emphasized the significance of the selected candidate having knowledge of the UAE, having the fortitude and tenacity to stand up for the country, and exhibiting a strong commitment to serving the motherland.

Sheikh Mohammed requested young Emiratis who meet these requirements to submit their applications for the position of Minister of Youth in a message that was posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. Send these applications to ContactUs@moca.gov.ae at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.

This proclamation continues a tradition in the UAE of acknowledging the value of youth participation in governance. Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrui was appointed as the nation’s Minister of State for Youth Affairs in 2016 at the age of barely 22. At the time of her appointment, Shamma Al Mazrui was the youngest minister in the entire globe. She was chosen from a group of young nominees submitted by universities from all throughout the United Arab Emirates.

One of the cornerstones of the UAE’s government continues to be its dedication to young empowerment and participation in decision-making.
